Keep Your Domain Name Simple
A great way to find superb domain names perfectly suited for your business.
The best domain names are:
- Short
- Meaningful
- Easy to spell
- Easy to remember
- Easy to say and understand when heard
The best domain names fall into a few categories:
- Single Word Domain Names - the best, but hard to find.
Pageant.name is an example.
- 3-letter and Shorter Domain Names - shorter is better,
but they may not be meaningful.
Btw.name is an example.
- Two-Word Meaningful Domain Names - while not
short and simple, if they are definitive, they may still be good.
MiamiCalendar.info
is an example.
Other names,
like eLawyer or MyLawyer, are not as good
because they have no meaning outside of themselves.
To get people to remember them and to pass them along is a costly job.
There is a reason eBay and Microsoft chose Rent.com
and Live.com.
They are simple.
Simple names are easy to remember
and easy to pass on to other people.
Simple, Short, Sweet and Easy Domain Names
Simple domain names are easy to type in.
People are more inclined to type in a short domain name than a long domain name,
and more likely to spell the domain name correctly.
Short domain names look better and take up less space.
They fit nicely on your business cards and give you more room
in print advertisements.
They are easier for your customers to read.
One of the first acronyms we learn in the business world is
K.I.S.S. - Keep It Simple Sweetheart.
Keep it simple and get a short, sweet domain name.
